Monday music - Rick Wakeman and his deft digits

From a suggestion from my mother-in-law: Rick Wakeman, formerly of Yes, in a tour-de-force.

  2. One of the greatest. Check out Yes's 35th Anniversary Concert on DVD. "South Side of the Sky" is on YouTube. The last three minutes are killer. http://youtu.be/EF7kFAy8rU8

  3. "From a suggestion from my mother-in-law, Rick Wakeman, formerly of Yes"

I hate to be pedantic, but ... Oh, who am I kidding? I love being pedantic.

Do you realize that the sentence above means that Rick Wakeman, formerly of Yes, is your mother-in-law?

  4. Hm, fair enough.

I will change the first comma to a hyphen, and leave this as a testimony to your perspicociousness.

  5. I'm just relieved to know it isn't true. Anything's possible these days.

  6. And if you liked that, how about their classic "Starship Trooper?"

  7. I actually never have liked Yes. What I've heard seems ponderous.

  8. I almost sent that to you one day, but for some reason, didn't.

Yes has had lots of changes in its music through the years. You might have liked their 1983 album 90125. Probably their most commercial.

  9. Yes == 70s pretentious art rock. Once upon a time I devoured it. Not so much now.

Nevertheless, youtube "suggested videos" from this one sucked up a fair bit of my time.
