Monday music — Promenade and The Gnome, by Emerson, Lake and Palmer
The progressive-rock band
Emerson, Lake and Palmer was a trio of three remarkably talented musicians. In one album, they captured Mussorgsky
's
Pictures at an Exhibition
. Here is their version, live, of two movements. This may or may not be your style, but note how
tight
they are in their performance.
And of course, sparkly-shiny-clothes-win.
Since the first listen, I find that the "The Gnome" movement is sharply evocative and moody, summoning mental images of some ungainly creatures shambling out.
For comparison, here are "straight" performances of those movements.

Wow. I haven't listened to that in probably 35 years.
