Hither and thither 9/9/11 -- all Ackbar, all the time

We have a what baseball pros might call a "change-up pitch" this week: an All-Admiral-Ackbar Hither and Thither.

Relax and enjoy the shifting gears -- and my thanks to Rick Beckman for these, to Brad Sharp for this, and to JuliePooka and Trogdor.

THE USUALS WILL BE OBSERVED

That's it? Ugh.
Well, that saves me some time today.
Praying all is well!

I would proudly wear a "Ackbar is my Homeboy" tee shirt.

Where's Frank Turk when we need him?

Are sick with the flu or something, Dan?

I have this mental picture of the kitten vaulting 3 feet straight up. Ackbar has as much of an indoor voice as a Dalek.

Proceed with the countdown. All groups assume attack coordinates. Prepare to jump to hyperspace on my mark. May the Force be with us.

Verification: Sescepi (which is Mon Calamari for "Trap")

Loved this Dan. Needed humor today, and this was right on target (er, wrong guy --- ). We won't last long against those Star Destoyers! :D

Now that laugh was richly needed. Not sure if the stares from fellow students in the library was, but hey, it's a Friday. :)

So we get the warnings...but we still don't know what your alien abducters look like!

Hahaha! I forgot about that pic. Great round today, sir.

What's an Ackbar?

(the combox looked lonely)

Obviously the space aliens that kidnapped Dan were of the Rebel Alliance.

I can't help but wonder about the timing of this particular HT in coordination with the President's Speech....
just saying...

Short and yet full of little delights! (I thought comments were closed, or I would have commented on Friday.) I especially liked the one made to look like a certain rather unpopular president's campaign poster (where can I get THAT yard sign?), and the Chinese finger handcuffs.

However, I was not thrilled by the first Lego scene. It brought back memories of my wedding day, when my husband stopped for gas on the way to our honeymoon destination. While he was filling the tank, a loud-mouthed fool had asked why he was dressed so dapper, then began to tell my dear husband with salty language that he was going to hate being married and would regret his decision. (All while I was right there, listening!) From now on, I'm putting Ackbar's face on him! (And we will happily be celebrating 16 years of marriage this November, a month before our 5th child is due to enter the world. So there, random n'er-do-well, wherever you are!)

I have an inflammatory question. Did Admiral Ackbar say "It's a trap!" at the wedding altar?
