There we learned of several leading proffesors in such universities as Cambridge that have a very definite AGENDA to tople Chritianity with the lies of evolution. Leaders of powerful influence are leading us astray ON PURPOSE! In Jan/13 president Obama declared Freedom of religion day. And many in the Church embrace these lies. Whats the solution? Wait? Sit and do nothing? We need reformation! If our rulers don't heed God what do we do? Follow? I personnally think we need to do something. Grass roots. Many good things started grass roots. I put some thoughts up on my FB today for the sake of people that we are involved in Cub Scouts with (I am a Den Leader.) I thought I'd cut and paste some of it here (not the stuff particular to our situation). Since this is a moderated thread, you can feel free not to post any of it if it isn't a worthwhile contribution; I won't be offended. My thoughts:

Thought 1: The headline ought to read, "Boy Scouts Approve Temporary Policy as a Bridge to Future Gay Leadership." It took the homosexual activists less than one day to proclaim this solution unworkable and to begin to point out the absurdity of a person who is an approved gay boy scout at the age of 17 years, 364 days, but who the following day is banned from involvement for life. It won't last.

Thought 2: Everything Boy Scouts claims to stand for - EVERYTHING - is now a fraud. Does this decision do any duty to God? To the country? Does it help other people? Does it keep us physically strong? Mentally awake? Morally *cough* straight? Of course not. Those are all just empty words. The Boy Scouts are now a massive camping club. Virtue is dead.

Thought 3: If your kids are not involved in scouting, this is now a no-brainer. Don't join. My recruitment days are over. Find something worthwhile to do with your time.

Thought 4: Those of us who are involved at some level have some difficult decisions to make. There are three elements of our situation. One is moral outrage at the cowardice of the national leadership. A second is concern over the direct impact this will have on our boys - which differs according to location, unit, and the age of the kids involved. And a third is our level of commitment to other people in our communities. Volunteers at various levels have to work out whether their commitment is to a national organization or to specific neighbors. Not everyone is in the same situation, and we all need to have a certain degree of patience with each other. We won't reach all the same conclusions; how could we?Tom Chantryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02485908616177111150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9313009.post-24294726216596740962013-05-24T12:29:21.529-05:002013-05-24T12:29:21.529-05:00Your predictions were disturbing accurate in a tim...Your predictions were disturbing accurate in a time when we it'd appeared we had so much to be happy for. This was right in the period of the "moral majority". Six years later, the LIBERAL president would sign the Defense of Marriage Act. So that was 1990, 23 years ago, when conservatives were in control. They at least had some reservations about breaking God's law. Perhaps we can get a post on what you think it will be like in the next 23 years. I thought of linking it on the old Facebook page, but assumed it'd be greeted with a flurry of "Exactly! Because Jesus is a liberal" (sigh). What struck me at the time was that any ideology or position, regardless of the truth or morality it accidentally happens to get right, is unrooted and arbitrary apart from God's Word. It can also become just as idolatrous as anything else we uphold as ultimate or standard-bearing.Neilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08858762125757038259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9313009.post-30313824616413699392013-05-24T11:41:54.730-05:002013-05-24T11:41:54.730-05:00Imagine that: this piece was actually published ba...Imagine that: this piece was actually published back then in a newspaper, in all of its Bibley splendor!
