Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week! Try the veal!
[polite laughter trailing off into awkward silence]
"Hi. I'm Dan... and I'm a '24'-addict.""Hi, Dan."
Hi every one I am here to take up a collection for Dan's dearly departed sense of humor... This fund will go towards Dan finding a new sense of humor. The kind that does not leave others shaking their heads and crying for it to stop.
Yes but without those pesky commercial waisting so many valuable minutes Jack can get the job done in 2.
Ow. That's harsh, SP.Jack Bauer would shoot your knee for that.(c;
dan,Only Jack Bauer could hacksaw 24 into 2 hours.
Screaming Pirate and everybody else, can you give me a minute with djp?It'll be alright. Really.I just need a minute alone with him.
We do not have TV. A friend brought me tapes during the 2nd season, and I got hooked. I watched the entire 2nd and 3rd season. Then, during the hiatus between the 3rd and 4rth seasons, I cried out to God with the words of psalm 51, and I was set free from my bondage. I will pray for you, that you may experience the joy of knowing, as I do, that you are better than everyone else.
That was a joke, by the way. I have to be careful. You never know when some thin-skinned EC-type is lurking, just wating to pounce...For the record, I don't think I'm better than anyone... except that guy I just mentioned. No! Just kidding!
I am a LOST fan myself. It is taking an excrutiating amount of time to resolve clues on that show. By the way Dan. It is Easter and we are having a lovely snowfall even as I speak. My husband and I thought of driving down to Sacto to a nature preserve along the American River the other day, just to get milder weather and some green. But....it was raining furiously in your part of the world.
Yes, Candy; from what I hear, I figure LOST addiction is in my future. I envy you the snow; was in the foothills (Grass Valley area) on Good Friday, enjoyed lovely snow and some thunder.
Okay, so I just watched last night's 24--I read somewhere once where it was said that if everybody followed Jack's instructions, it would be called only 12. But I'm convinced he could get it into 6 or 8 hours--but as someone previously mentioned, if it was a movie, he might only need 2! Great thread.
Thou art all worldlings. I shall return to my ivory tower and count down the days until the second episode of the new Doctor Who...
Tell me you read Dave Barry's blog following the episode of 24 each week? It is TOO funny most weeks. "Edgar is still dead...":+)Kate
Oh, thanks, Kate! I didn't even know Barry blogged 24. We were all pretty broken up over Edgar; my daughter had him matching up with Chloe, which made sense. Very sad.We have to see it at least 5-6 days late, so I was really angry when another (nameless) Christian blog spoiled Edgar's death without warning, ruining it for me. I posted an objection. No response. Waited a week-plus, went back -- still no response. I made a few blistering (but polite) comments, then removed it from my Favorites. Rude, rude.
Do you have to see it late because you don't have a TV and someone sends the tape to you? If so, then wait until after you see the episode to read Barry's blog. It is highly funny, but certainly gives spoilers on the episode. :+) Getting my chinese food ready...got the remote...count down till 9:00om...SHOOT THE KNEE, JACK!Kate
2 instead of 24? Dan, that is too high-brow for this crowd.
