Visit Kim daily, and you'll find her writing about food, Charnock, hoodies, her husband, her daughter, shoes, church, David Wells, marriage, teens in general, women in general, men in general, homeschooling, all sorts of books, internal dialogues, Greek, songs, headaches. Kim is a prolific blogger, writes very openly and transparently, and is always 'way too hard on herself.
And, unlike Carla Rolfe, she's not in denial about being Canadian. Though, on that, my sympathies are with Carla.
Visiting today, I thought two of her recent offerings were worth singling out. In ascending order of remarkworthiness:
- What are you really walking away from? Here Kim discusses what goes on inside folks who get themselves unhappy with church and, rather than dealing with their sinful and/or foolish attitudes, embrace them and take them with them. Good thoughts.
- What's a guy to do? Here is what Kim asks:
What's a man to do if he has a wife who simply shows no sign of submitting to him? She rules the home with an iron fist and everyone is subject to her moods and tempers. Her husband can't lead because when he tries, she steps in and has her own way. What does a man do about this? What are his options other than praying for her? Any thoughts?I don't know if I've seen anyone ask the question so bluntly. Note that Kim's only gotten one response so far (i.e. it's his fault, he should just fix it). If you've a thought, or especially if you know The Answer, go share.
