I'm still not sure who exactly came up with this, but it sure made me smile.
We have a brother in our fellowship who is involved with Ray Comfort's Living Waters. He's the one who finds all these funny/sad posts on the internet.
God bless,
Rand
Very funny but I'm a little confused by the small print. Abortion, euthanasia and gay rights I get but 'supporting public education', 'expanding welfare' and 'adding to gun control laws'? Is there a biblical problem with these? Genuinely curious.
Antonio
Public Education:
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
How can this be done by a parent who sends his/her kids for 30-40 hours a week to an institution which will teach him/her anything but the Way he/she should go?
Expanding Welfare:
"For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." (2 Thessalonians 3:10)
Government Welfare is an unbiblical social concept.
Gun Control:
While there is no Scripture to support or reject gun control, there is no doubt that it doesn't work. Instead of wasting time making laws against gun possession (which only ever penalizes legit gun owners), our government would do best to just punish criminals with effective sentences.
That's my fundamental 0.02$, but all of it is kind of irrelevant to "God version 6.0", since, unless I am mistaken, the point of the fine print was only to emphasize that "version 6.0" would make it "easier to support concepts the Bible is either silent on, or is dead set against."
Later,
Rand
That pretty much covers it, Thanks!

The guys iver at theologyonline.com came up with that. Tread with caution over there, though. Many of them are open theists who like to belittle those who believe in reformed theology.
Yeah... I had a look there. Looks like it's another one of those sites where false teachers snare saints into vain and wicked debates.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." (2 Timothy 2:15-16)
"God, version 6.0" was cute and funny. Anything else coming from theologyonline.com... well, judge with wise and godly judgment. As far as I'm concerned, I avoid these types of forums like the pest. The reason why is in 2 Timothy 2:23:
"But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes."
Take care,
Rand
