That's too funny! ;-)
What the heck was the name of the wife in the second Newhart series? Was it Joanne?
I guess I am not old enough. YEAH! :-D (Lisa)
Um, her name was... well, she was played by Mary Frann...
{ goes to IMDB }
Joanna.
I was close, especially for working off a very middleaged memory, and not having seen that show in years. ;^)
Anne
The last scene of the last episode of the second series was one of the funniest ever on television.
Priceless. I loved the theme to the original Bob Newhart Show more than anything else, though. It was so catchy.
I don't remember the last episode of the second series very well, but it must have involved Larry, Darryl, and Darryl.
I loved that theme too, Sewing.
As to the other, you're in luck! You can watch the end of the last episode here.
Funniest. Finale. Ever.
(Best finale would be Angel's last two episodes.)
Thanks for that, Dan!
Bob Newhart is the quintessential straightman. Bud Abbott and couldn't hold a candle to him.
