So... is there something better than TTLB?
I was a reptile or something yesterday; today I'm a microorganism. I doubt I lost 80 links overnight... unless they're all big Jonathan Edwards fans, I guess.

I've been steadily declining, too.
I think it has something to do with the way TTLB ages links.
But that might be technorati. I'm declining in that, too.
Good thing I don't blog for the links, eh?

TTLB is completely meaningless. When I moved from Blogspot to my own address about a year ago, I never updated with TTLB. Since there are no posts to read there (other than "I've moved"), I'm pretty sure it has no readers. Yet my old abandoned blog is a "marauding marsupial" at 5039 today. It was just a "flappy bird" when I left.
Mine went from flappy bird to multi-cellular from yesterday to today. Nothing to be concerned about, they are likely changing their algorithms again.
What I didn't mention in my first comment is that I posted a similar question a while back, and Tim Challies said he had it first-hand from the TTLB owner himself that the site is hopelessly broken. It didn't sound likely that it would be fixed any time soon, if ever, and going by my ranking, I'd say it hasn't been.
Technorati took me from 148 to 38 in a two wwek period, now I am a robust 40...TTLB used to give me fits, now it seems okay, but that was last week (145 or something), I prolly oughta check...and Thirsty David links me (graciously) several times each month, yet tecnorati hasn't shown any of them, not just authority, but the link itself in nearly a year...
Well, I just checked and voila! I am now a Multicellular Microorganism once again...I guess that is what we get for hooking yp with an evolutionary model...think I'll go get an old Devo record out...
Ha, I just checked for the first time in a long time. An adorable little rodent, my highest rank ever and yet my blog is one step away from moribund. I am adorable, and have been called rodent several times, so clearly TTLB is credible (NOT).
Well, I went from a slimy mollusk to a flappy bird in a day, so yes, I think something's up.
My daily visits are up, yet now I'm just a worm. Sigh.
I'm feelin' yure pane there, Dan. I too went from "Slithering Reptile" (in the 6000 range) to "Multicellular Microorganism" (like, 17,000 or something) overnight.
Maybe it's not that they're fans of Jonathan Edwards (great Puritan preacher), maybe they're fans of John Edwards (clueless presidential wannabe).
When I saw the title of that post: "Edwards: progress report (still not really liking him)" I thought it was about the president candidate guy, and not being interested, I didn't bother reading the post (seriously!).
