Rebirthday

Thirty-five years ago today, the sovereign grace of God led me, smarting under the conviction of sin, to look to Jesus Christ for salvation, forgiveness, life, meaning, and all. All glory to the Father for His sovereign, eternal, electing love; to the Son for coming into the world to save sinners (—and doing it!); and to the Spirit, for His work of conviction and glorification of Christ.

If you like, you can read my testimony more fully here.

I've read your testimony a couple of times over the past year. I even printed it off and left it for a friend of mine to read after recognizing many things in it that he could identify with.

Praise God for His merciful, sweet and gracious work in your life. You're a blessing to many.

Happy rebirthday!

The TP version of your testimony was my very first introduction to that blog. I've read your original version of it as well, as well as some of your other bibchr articles. They're all edifying. Soli deo gloria!

I suppose it would be inappropriate to say "Congratulations" or "Way to go, Dan!"

So I'll just echo you with "All glory to the Three-in-One."

Our family too likes to have "ebenezeer" days (times when we remember specific moments where God set our path, delivered us, blessed us, etc.), and our second birthdays are always right at the top of the list....
Praise the Lord for the gift of your salvation, and for the way your many and various gifts have blessed me- I initially found you and your other Pyro partners in crime when my husband and I were in the midst of some dark times spiritually, and your posts gave me such encouragement that we weren't alone. Now that that season is over, your words give me much food for thought while I'm doing laundry, dishes, more laundry...

Happy re-birthday!

Amen. When at first you don't succeed...give up and turn it all over to God. Happy Re-day +1.

Well, I hope you enjoyed some rebirthday cake, Mr. Phillips(it's much sweeter and pure than plain birthday cake). I know being raised in a Christian home and a Reformed Church, I never could quite pin down by "rebirthday"...I was taught from my youngest days the Truth that Jesus was Lord and Savior, and it was by God's Grace that I was saved. It always seems to jar my assurance a little, but it also reminds me of God's faithfulness. Keep up the edifying blogging...Semper Reformanda, Bro. Dan!
