Oh... oh, my. From the mouths of babes. Literally.

Let's start the week out with (I hope) a chuckle:

Sadly, I do believe I've seen sermons that make less sense.

However, I'm sure you heard something better in church, yesterday. I certainly did!

(Thanks to my friend, Pastor Jim Kirby)

I wonder how many people there thought they'd heard a 'word from the Lord.'

The congregation does sound pretty... engaged, doesn't it? And the organ's going and everything.

I supposed I'd outrage some readers if I characterized what sort of assembly that is. Though I think it's pretty obvious.

Kid's definitely got the moves and the cadence down. Including the little spiritual dance as he prowls from side to side.

My kid used to do this every Sunday when I was helping with setting up the sound system. I never thought he had the holy ghost all over 'em.

Yesterday was much better.

R.C. Sproul is continuing in the Gospel According to Matthew. Yesterday he preached on the centurion asking Jesus to speak the word and heal his servant. He also covered the healing of Peter's mother-in-law.

Excellent example/illustration of "monkey see, monkey do".

That's all I'm going to say... :-)

Dan,

This video entails three possibilities:

1. Please stop showing your "early days" home movies here.

2. The left-wing smear campaign against your sermons has begun.

3. Hundreds of churches will copy this "sermon" and use it on Sunday.

Ack! Found out!

That's hilarious, I've seen kids imitate Mom & Dad with a phone in their hand, but never a microphone.

Priceless.

As far as the church where it took place...

At least some in the congregation were laughing, those would be the ones that got it.

The ones saying "Thank you Jesus"...not so much...

No worries! It was one of your better sermons.

;-D ;-D ;-D

(Fully expecting a whack across the head with a DJPizza in a few months...)

I showed my mother the clip, and she thought the kid was absolutely adorable (she had no idea why he was grunting)--until I showed her a Youtube clip of a preacher from that o-so-anointed TV station that I will not name. Her smile pretty much went away after that....

(Can you imagine how that kid is going to turn out if they kept this up?? Just hope they didn't do this during the middle of a service....)
