This could be part of a post about the state of the economy: the bear market is here to stay so tighten your belt, be thankful for what you have, and deal with it. Oh, and hide the honey!
And Dan, I didn't check Ibex's profile for a location, but there is an Auburn up in WA, near Seattle. My cousin in Issaquah (east of Seattle) has had a bear in her yard, right in the middle of suburbia.
It's probably on the picnic table because it smells food.
Just a word to the wise... when you camp, don't keep your food in your tent with you. 'Nuff said.
Telling you what dainty elitists won't tell you, and saying it the way they won't say it, since 2004.
You're welcome.

That's pretty bold, for a black bear! Where was it taken?
No clue! Just saw it, liked it, shared it.

Have you seen "Dead Deer Walking"?
I'll put it up on my blog, just for fun.
My sister up in the Auburn area had a bear on her picnic table in her yard a couple of months ago. Guess it's something they like to check out.
Possible caption: "Hey, I ordered a latte 20 minutes ago!"
Or, "Where's my pizza?"

I can hear him saying,
"Pass the honey, Honey. NOW."
@Squirrel:
Picnic Table Bear is a regular at ICHC, you should take some of your captions there and see what you come up with!
Then there's "Ninja Bear".

(How do you guys make a link in a comment? I'm just a pre-schooler in the tech world.)

Or, if you have firefox & quickdrag you don't need people to make links :)
Thanks Mr. Wizzard

Watch out, guys. With comments like these, Al Sharpton might pull a New York Post on you!
No doubt this will come up during Mr. Ranger's next performance evaluation...
LOL!
I was saying Black Bear as opposed to Grizzly Bear! Grizzlies tend to be a lot more aggressive.
The racist slant didn't even occur to me.
Yeah yeah... the New York Post said similar things.
;o)
Too cute, Dan; you awesome share.
You know, this would have been a good "caption this," wouldn't it? I'll have to add that category.
IBES - Auburn? Auburn, California? Yikes.
SS - good one. "One. Lousy. Cup. Of Coffee. Is that TOO MUCH to ask?"
Julie thinks the bear would go all Jack Bauer.

The bear is obviously in the process of evolving. Somehow I'm sure it's related global warming which can be trace directly back to Ronald Reagan.
Oh man, you could think of hundreds of captions for this...maybe that's why there are none....a picture's worth a thousand words....
lol.
@Jeff:
I hear if you say "manbearpig" outloud 3 times, Al Gore appears.
I haven't the desire to try it.
I love bears.
solameanie,
Me too. On my wall.

Oops. Ibex - NY has an Auburn too :0)
Mr. Wizard,
Shame on me for even understanding the reference to manbearpig. It was funny though.
Yes, shame on me too for making the reference!
Hey! I think I met that bear once!
Auburn, CA! Only mentioned it because I know it's close. This could happen to you!
Hokey smokes.
Makes me glad we don't have a picnic table!
Heehee...
