You think your family car is crowded?

I'm just really allergic, not sleeping the best, worked very hard on the interview post and Monday's Pyro post, and am working on (hopefully) Thursday's Pyro post on the Blackaby view of divine guidance. So I don't have much! Sorry.

But I do have this!

From the new Obama (TM) line of GM cars. Features include:

-comfortable seating for you, your partner of irrelevant gender or genus, and your government-issued 1.2 children
- 35 MPG at government-mandated 55 MPH on Stimulus-built roads (speeds in excess of 55 MPH or travel on non-Stimulus-built roads taxed at 90% per mile)
- revolutionary wind-generated air conditioning and heating system to reduce carbon footprint (IOW, no windows)
- Now available with 0% down, 0% interest and payments of just 0$ per month if you suddenly become unemployed because some mean ol' rich guy won't give back the bonus we told him he could have (Financing generously provided by your patriotic, tax-paying, employed neighbors).

Gee Whiz, Dan.

Life is just so, ummm, empty and aimless without our usual daily fix of CalviDispieBaptoGelical musings.......

My day just wasn't the same...

What if you're the guy stuck in the middle with two goats and a steamer trunk, who has to get off at the next stop?

Just wondering.

Rachael, I figure we should just get some horses to pull the cars.

Actually, the picture reminded me of an experience I had in kindergarten.. you know, back in the dark ages. Back when classroom moms volunteered to drive the class on field trips.

And my mom was the only one who showed up. No problem. Liability? No problem. Seat belts? No problem. Kids sitting on the teacher's lap? No problem.

We put the entire kindergarten class into our late 60's Chevy Bel Air station wagon and off we went.

Probably looked like the clown-car at the circus when we got where we were going!

Horses Aaron?! You've just angered the great and mighty PETA! You can't use animals to further any of man's agendas in this world. At this very moment I'm blowing my nose so I can save some of the bacteria that my cursed body would have killed needlessly.

Well, after I get done making my hamburger... MMmmmm....

Does this vehicle (I almost typed "wehicle", which may be strangely befitting in this case) come with a rear view mirror??

And Julie, LOL on your precious childhood memory! :D That reminds me of what a friend of mine did in college (I was not present when it happened--was informed of it later). He and some other friends had just come back from an on-campus social event, and in his possession was a veggie tray. Don't remember the exact reason why the uphill car ride to our dorm happened the way it did--perhaps they had no room in the car, or because my friend dared to be wild--but he was driven uphill while holding that tray and sitting on the hood of the car. Needless to say, he enjoyed every minute of that infamous ride!

oh. and. This could be the perfect example of how some of President Obama's "500 support staff" entourage will be traveling in London. Lean and mean bean-counter task-force advised ~ he being miserly...errmmm thrifty and all. ;-)

(I deleted my comment above because it was almost an exact repeat of the first part of my second comment--have problems with FireFox and Blogger tonight--thought it didn't post so retyped, only to find out it did post the first time! Does it have anything remotely to do with Conficker or the upgrades against it? Just curious.)

Did anyone else think of Katamari Damacy?

jazzact13 said...

No, Peren, to my shame, I didn't.

I go now, to sit in dust and ashes.

Un-Relevant said...

Hahaha! That does look like a Katamari!

Interestingly enough, PETA is in a little bit of a predicament. Apparently they don't run an animal shelter and put down thousands of animals each year. I guess they are too busy finding women willing to be naked in their ads.
