Ahh, lovin' that lovin' liberal love (OR: effective critics of liberalism should be tortured and die)

Look who's laughing at Wanda Sykes.

Feel free to add links to liberals expressing their outrage at her miles-over-the-line rant, and their shame at The One's complicit laughter, in the meta.

Class acts. From head to tail, equally so.

Bonus: some surprisingly sane comments from Britain.

Ah, tolerant liberalism. Nothing conveys the message of tolerance like saying "I wish you were dead."

I have to admit, I still don't understand the fuss over Limbaugh's "I hope he fails" comment. Perhaps it's a break-down in my feeble right-wing mind (Janeane Garofalo can explain the details), but I see a clear distinction between wishing that an elected official whose policies you disagree with would fail and wishing that the country as a whole would fail. Even the wildest liberal should be glad that Hitler* failed, even if they bear no ill will towards Germany. Why can we not wish the same for our own politicians?

*In no way am I claiming that Hitler and Obama are equals.

Give him some time. He's only been in office a little more than 100 days and look what he has accomplished regarding baby dismemberment.

Hmm, and when a liberal icon (usually after a DUI or well publicized arrest)admits to a drug problem and gets clean, they're praised and allowed to put it behind them.

How many years has it been since Rush sought treatment on his own for his drug addiction?

They've got no new jokes...
They've got no new policies...

Oh, Dan, I'm not finding any outrage in the media beyond Fox News...

I was watching Fox News this morning and they were commenting that Rush did not respond to any of this. So I went to the podcast. He replayed (a few times) a sound bite from the inaugural address where Obama said they weren’t going to do the petty stuff anymore, but where going to follow what was written in scripture about “putting away childish things.” I think he addressed it.

Interesting how Ms. Sykes alludes to Limbaugh wanting the administration to fail and then she equates that with wanting America to fail. I realize that currently the administration represents our country but one administration is not the sum total of America. And what about all those liberals who loved the fact that Bush is seen as a failure?

What if I told Wanda, 'I hope your sitcom fails!' Oh...wait...

Anyone disagreeing with the political objectives of the presidential administration is un-American and should be punished? I thought it was only those evil Republicans who advocated that sort of stance.

Hahaha kidney failure... see, it's funny because he's OLD, and you can die from things when you're old, so it's funny. Now I see why she's such a successful comedian. Health issues, zing!

And what about all those liberals who loved the fact that Bush is seen as a failure? No see that was different, because he was wrong. It's only flag-waving-purple-mountains-majesty-be-quiet-or-die unpatriotic when the President is trying to do the right thing.

Oh wow, "no" would be putting it far too mildly. More like, "fatal exception".

This video is hard to believe. For all the UK's faults, no-one would get away with this kind of thing in the presence of the Prime Minister.

Can this woman be put on the banned from UK list along with Savage? I think the kidneys comment is inciting violence.

I think Obama has a good sense of humor. I didn't see his George Bush joke coming that night. HAHA

It turned my stomach.

But frankly I've alwasy thought the whole event was tacky. It's always a good thing for a leader to demonstrate the ability to not take himself seriously, but there's a fine line between that and not taking your job seriously.

Hmmmm, seems like there could an application there for church leaders, too.... somewhere....

Seriously, how many times did Rush clarify that he hoped Obama failed because his policies would harm the country?! Wanda Sykes was either intentionally deceptive or woefully uninformed. I think that part bothers me more than her wishing harm upon him. Disagree all you want, but at least get the facts straight.

WV: ductstax - def: what I need to wrap around my head before listening to libs.

Rachael: It turned my stomach.Friendly reminder, Rachael, we got a minimum of 3 years and 7 months left to go in the Obama administration. It's going to be a loooooooong 3 years and 7 months. You might want to have a stockpile of Pepto Bismo and just hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

You Americans, lol. You're mixing your politics with your entertainment... What's up with that?

You're assuming he doesn't die from kidney failure before his term is up.

Currently, how is it even possible to separate the State - the ObamaNation - from what it is?

MJ said...

Aside from the fact that she and her fellow Marxists gleefully continue to misquote Rush, it wasn't even remotely funny. Nor was her shot at Sarah Palin.

You need to consider all angles here. A move like that would seriously dissuade clowns from participating in government - and then who would we get to fill all those spots?

"Clowns in Government! The joke is on us..."

All they could get to come to this thing is a third rate comedienne?

Logan Paschke said...

Do what I say not what I do.

You can certainly tell when a government takes an anti-Christ stance; it's when hypocrisy and double-standards are normal and when it is abnormal to be honest and truthful. (Last administration too, but not as blatant)

Just say it Wanda Sykes, you're hoping that Rush Limbaugh dies.

Oh wait, you already did and all the media laughed with you except Fox (I'm assuming).

As a white male I'd be thrown into prison for daring to utter such a joke about your beloved black messiah.

I hope Obama's teleprompter fails.

Biden and those in the chain of succession are much worse, IMHO. I'm personally hoping for good health and a sound defeat in the next election.

Seeker sensitive evangelical pastors?

How the heck can she say that dissention from Rush counts as treason, and calling for Bush and Cheny to be tried for War Crimes doesn't?

Man, I'm beginning to HATE politics...and yet I watch on....
