I have a special place in my heart for Westminster Seminary. Founded by my hero, J. Gresham Machen; home to some of the finest profs ever to teach in America over the years (Murray, Young, van Til, Frame, Waltke). Actually sticking by their doctrinal guns rather than running for the nearest exit while screaming like little girls (like Fuller, only not)....
Anyway, the Westminster Seminary bookstore is having a sale, at least 50% off.
Also, the new commentary on James by Westminster prof Dan G. McCartney is 40% off.
Just sayin'.

First one today!! :) (Well, unless someone beats me to it....)
Anyway, here are my two cents: I met up with a friend over a month ago while I was out of town for work, and she expressed her desire to go to seminary. So I thought, "Uh oh" because I had not seen her in so long and didn't know much about her current church's theology. I just had to know which one she had in mind. When she said, "Westminster", I let out a sigh of relief and really wanted to jump for JOY!!! :D (Yeah, I was scared that she would say "Fuller" or something like that...)
I just happened to be looking at their bookstore today and saw the sale.
I have been listening to a lot of lectures by Dr. Carl Trueman, who teaches there. Excellent stuff.
Thanks for pointing these out Dan. Just sayin'.
Did you say Van Til?! Won't the Gordon Clark fans burn down your blog now?
...and Gordon Clark!
Dr. McCarney's appendix on Paul and James is very interesting. His explanation of an "active faith" may push me to get that book.

I had to put a hiatus on all book purchases. I can't keep up with the books I've already purchased and I have books everywhere!
I'm on my second round of waiting over a week for a couple of books I really need to read (Gospel-Powered Parenting and A Praying Life). I can put up with waiting that long for a lot of other things, but not books!!!
