"I guess I'm racist" ad

I love a good, solid frontal attack on nonsense.

Here's one:

(The little "racist" girl cracks me up — "Huh?")

UPDATE: how could I have left this out?

Hmmm . . . I guess I'm a racist. Apparently, by Carter's statement, logic is not required to be a president's strong suit! Well, back to my new line of work as a racist.

Of course you do. You're a racist.

@David-- Hilarious!

This ad is funny until I think about how Orwellian this issue is. Won't be long until they tell us that we are un-patriotic for not supporting everything Big Obama, er Big Brother says.

Big Brother - isn't that a racist term?

C'mon, folks; why can't we all just get along?

Those who accuse everyone of being a racist have the acumen of a tapeworm.

Interesting that two of those racists who are against Obama's health plan because he's black are black themselves. ;-)

Love it.

I don't understand you people. Are you opposed to universal healthcare only on the grounds that we already have a crushing national deficit, can in no way afford it, already owe our shirt-tails to China, the government tends to mess up every business that they get into, it goes against the idea of a free market economy, and that some of us are actually paying for health care already?

You bunch of racists.

The fact that Barack Obama is as white as he is black doesn't seem to have crossed anybody's minds...

Sigh, nobody believes me when I tell them I'm just as much an African American as the President. (white, Software Engineer, in Washington - the trifecta of blazing paleness)

I wish JC Watts would run in 2012. I'm not 100% sure I'd vote for him (don't know everything he stands for). I just want to see people squirm.

So, I'm not surprised by Billy Graham. Billy Graham tried inviting D.Martin Lloyd-Jones to one of his crusades in the UK and Lloyd-Jones said not until he would disinvite some of the priests other apostate faiths in his crusade. Graham was pretty ticked off.

But I never understood Packer. He's an enigma to me. I probably won't be able to read Evangelicalism Divided anytime soon. You said, after reading you understood why he signed ECT. Can you briefly explain why? I've always been puzzled by him because I loved his Knowing God book. It was one of the first books I read as a Christian.

It's commercials like this that really tick me off as a Christian conservative! Whoever came up with this commercial must think that we are all small-minded idiots who think that America has been taken over by commies or some other conspiracy nonsense! Seriously, at times it seems like the conservative leadership thinks we're dumber and more backwards than the liberals do!

Whoever came up with this commercial thinks that they can unite us behind the banner of “reverse racism” like that even has anything to do with the issue of national healthcare! This commercial doesn’t give any facts about the proposed plan, but is just trying to get us angry by saying “This is what THEY think of you! THEY think you are a racist! But THEY’RE wrong!” How patronizing can do you get! They must think of us as children who they can get to fight anyone just by saying “So-and-so called you a poo poo head”. I’m tired of the why the conservative leadership has generally looked upon us like idiot sheep to manipulate lately! Well I’ve got some news: We are not stupid, we are not backward, and we won’t follow a simple slogan just because it sounds catchy! Most importantly, A LOT OF US HAVE ACTUALLY READ THE BILL, UNDERSTAND IT AND DISAGREE WITH IT FOR REAL REASONS, SO STOP TREATING US LIKE CHILDREN YOU ELITIST JERKS!

Worst of all is how they target this commercial! Apparently it’s only being shown in the central states and even then not in any of the major cities ie Chicago, Houston. They’ve also completely bypassed NY, NJ and CA. What, don’t conservative live in these states too? Of course we do, but whoever came up with this commercial only wanted to target those of us they think are really dumb and didn’t want to waste money on the ones they think can actually read! I’m strongly against nationalized healthcare, but campaigns like this one only make us look ignorant and cut away at our credibility. Two things are true: healthcare needs to be fixed and there are too many things wrong with this bill. I wish our leadership would come up with more ideas and less slogans!

It’s bad enough that the liberals already see us as an ignorant angry mob, we don’t need our leadership treating us the same way!

Assuming you are what you say (hard to tell, with your profile blocked), I couldn't disagree more.

The "racist" card is the favorite cards of Donks, libs, and 0-people. It is in fact being played by socialized meds pimps.

This defuses it by a frontal assault.

I love it.

Choir. Preaches. Back.
The health care debate is actually not at all about race, although some of the criticism of Obamacare may have racial overtones. But this ad campaign DOES make it about race. Just confuses the issue. Everybody - advice: get the facts and make up yr own mind.

DJP said...

Yeah, still waiting on the racism evidence.

Good to clear away the socialists' attempt to make it about race.

It's a BAD IDEA all on its own.

Just a note here that anyone can be racist.
