Witness The Taylor Effect, in action.
Column A represents a typical, so-so day's worth of visits here.
Column B represents a day when Justin Taylor has mentioned a post.
It does rather give one some perspective... like looking up the trunk of a redwood tree.

Being the groveling narcissist that I am, I must find a way to be "touched" by Justin. Just the hem of his robe would do me well.
I noticed the same phenomenon when I got mentioned in an H&T - 200 visits that day.
Dan is my Justin.
Trickle-down exposure.
I got linked in a Tweet by XIANITY on Monday. My normal day is 30-40 visits. On Monday, I had 1500+. ...it was nice while it lasted. :D

What's that, Fred? Uhuh. Yeah. Okay...

Those are very good self-examination questions that Justin posted. Except that given the way most of the questions are worded, is the third question implying that if my comment isn't corrupting, I shouldn't post it?
If that's you, looking up the trunk of the redwood...
I'm happy to be the basal leaf of the dandelion at the bottom.
Funny, though, I tend to get spikes when Deaf Village picks up something about Tate. Viva the interweb :D
Dan is my Justin too, now that I think about it.
I will say to squirrel that my hits spiked over two hundred when I link trolled him. He's got some sort of readership.
This was hysterical...although I don't know if you meant it that way.
