Embiggen is now my favorite word.
Just like as in real life, once the analogy breaks down, practical application results in our hunger for real food.
Application to Genesis 1 possibly?
Yeah, OEC interpretation of the six days of creation.
Huh?
Dan is "Huh" a simile, metaphor, or anacronym? :)
What's a metaphor?

Nuffin. What's a metaphor you?
(couldn't resit.
Dan:
don't you recall any of the discussion at Pyro? An argument broke out about interpretation of the days of Genesis. Some of the OEC adherents claimed it was metaphor and then the argument went into the meaning of metaphor vs. analogy, etc.
HA HA HA HA HA!
A quick note - all the XKCD comics have a second punchline hidden in the alt-text of the image (so if you mouse over it in it's original setting, you get a second joke).
I forgot that.
Lucky for me it was clean!
Pooka,
The correct answer to "What's a metaphor?" is "Cows to graze in."
What's a metaphor?... it's so people can make comments on the post, silly.
