Wow, context is everything...I saw the last line of the post, "I believe we'll be seeing him in later MMs" and I thought to myself, "Their printing pictures on M&Ms now? Crazy!"
Ah, yes, context.
Hmmm. Well, OK.
Not bad.
But I guess I just don't appreciate classical guitar as much as some people do.
I think the Gilligan's Island version was more MM-worthy..

Wow. That was great. They rock.
Classical guitar is a genre requiring a very formal structured discipline. This is NOT classical guitar and they are not playing classical guitars. They are playing nylon crossover guitars favored by jazz guitar players. Jazz with a twist of flamenco is closer to the style. For a better understanding of classical guitar, do a search for Segovia, Parkening, Romero, Isban or Fisk.
It is very well done, I enjoyed it.
Guess that's just proof that I don't appreciate classical guitar as much as others, since apparently I don't even know what it is...
I confess: The beginning guitar solo did not "grab" me. Once the second guitar came in, however, it was breathtaking. That girl has some mad guitar skills, and for the two of them to synchronize the guitars so well as if they were one...wow.
My daughter works at a place in Hollywood called Amoeba Records. They do inhouse concerts all the time and she saw these two a few years ago and told me about them. Very nice.
I've been following Rodrigo y Gabriela off and on for a few years... and they're very talented. I hadn't seen a vid of them doing this song, thanks for sharing it!
