Monday music: "Vanya," by Alex Arkhipovsky (amazing balalaika performance)
His audience: extremely professional? Extremely repressed? Extremely edited-in?

Um, techno meets country??
(Maybe the audience was just plain sleepy....)
Quite remarkable playing considering the number of strings missing from his instrument. Maybe I should chop a few off my guitar.
Yes; plus, given Phil Keaggy's example, you know what else has to go.
...extremely Russian, perhaps? The one man in the audience who seemed to be into the groove also drew the attention of the cameras, and by our standards, his actions were mild.
Exactly how many strings were there? I thought three at first, but couldn't tell for sure.
Nice playing, but I prefer it a little less contemporary...more Dr. Zhivago-ish.
Psh. Girls.
