I does Dave and his quartet expect their music to be heard by the jazz community if they are wearing those suits?

BTW, Paul Desmond, the saxophone player, was an excellent musician in his own right.

When I worked at KASU in college (one of those public, university radio stations that bled liberal socialism for the raised pinkie liberal-NPR crowd), I had to put together the "Moods in Music" play list every night for my radio show. I don't think I came across one bad Paul Desmond tune.

Probably one of the catchiest songs in music history. The ukulele was a nice touch.

I had the great privilege to see the Brubeck quartet (well, the current group) a little less than a decade ago when they came in town to play with the excellent university jazz band. The concert sold out quickly, but my brother and I heard they opened up the orchestra pit the day of and went down to get tickets, but the guy in front of us got the last ones. Fortunately the usher-ladies were very kind and we got in sometime during the students' set and before Brubeck sniffed the stage. It was quite a show, even for the 80+ old man.

That said, this ukulele lady does a fine job filling in for both Dave and Paul, sometimes at the same time!
