Monday music - "The Fox," by Nickel Creek
Staying in the countryward (progressive bluegrass, in this case) direction: years ago I heard some music from Nickel Creek and so liked it that the name stuck in my head. Here's a lively, artful performance of "The Fox":

It's been several years since I had heard Nickel Creek. Thanks for the great reminder. :)
Subterranean Homesick Blues. Nice.
Oh boy! Doesn't that make you want to get up and go? Thanks, Dan.

Yay! Love Nickel Creek. Chris Thile is a genius. I mean really. And Sara and Sean are no slouches, of course. One of my faves is When You Come Back Down, in which these kids sing some delicate and wonderful harmonies and Sara plays some BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL fiddle.
If you like Switchfoot lead singer Jon Foreman then you might enjoy Fiction Family, a side project from Foreman and Sean, the guitarist from Nickel Creek.
@Chuck - Gonna check that out right now!
I'm late to the show, but love watching Chris Thile play and sing. My almost-9-year-old boy who's been playing mandolin for about 2 years now has become much more animated in his play after watching Thile online. Nickel Creek sounds so good. I hope they get back together every so often to record newer stuff.
The kid in the green sweater has been listening to David Grisman :-) I think that he sings faster than just about anyone I've ever seen.
