All right, this is just funny

Sad, but at the same time, funny:
Why is it that all the Dem candidates are still married to their first spouse, while among the current crop of leading GOP contenders, the only guy with just one wife is the Mormon?

A sad but telling comment on the state of the Republican Party today...

... on second thought, perhaps it's more telling of the state of American politics today; what good Christian Republican would want to subject his family to the Democratic and media grinder for nine and three quarters years?

When Newt Gingrich (left first wife while she was in hospital with cancer, left second wife (which he left his first wife for), and is now married to his third wife (that he left his second wife for) is upheld by the almighty (James Dobson) as a fine upstanding christian and someone he respects and supports, is there any question why some of us might question just exactly what is christian about the religous right?

Yes, I understand the abortion issue, and it is the same issue I have voted republican for (generally). But I really really hate having to to do it. Because it really is the Repuglican Party, as in Repugnant.

Because Dan polygamy is currently frowned upon by the LDS church.

As a schmo who worked in politics for 20 years....let me just say, there are no more heroes…in fact there never were any. Politicians ARE truly a great cross section of our culture. They ALL sin just like you and me. I have learned to never become infatuated with a candidate. They will let you down just like I will.

I wish bicycles were frowned upon.

Isn't it ironic? The party that is touted as being more evangelical is the one with the worse marriage records...All of the candidates disgust me - both Republican and Democrat. We just have no options at all.

This next Presidential election might possibly be the first time I will not be voting. I've been voting since I was 19 yrs. old (many moons ago),and never thought the time would come when I wouldn't vote. I believe that time has come.

I was seriously thinking of this just yesterday! How funny to come here and see you highlighting it as well.

Hopefully after this last weekend, Huckabee will be brought into the "top tier", as he deserves to be, and flip-flopping Romney won't be seen as the "family" candidate any longer.
