Great news for Logos users: update to the Truth Is Still Truth site

I had always found the Truth Is Still Truth site a bit hard to navigate, and the update tool tricky to use.

Well, check out the Libronix PBB files page now. The books and series are laid out all nice and neat on the left. Excellent!

Also, you can get the latest (12/2008) version of the PBB Updater here.

I don't want to sound like a total nit, but how exactly is this relevant to me, a Logos user?

I know, I know, I hang my head in shame. But hey, at least I raised my hand, risked the finger pointing mockery, and asked.

because here's 147000 books you can add to Libronix, absolutely for free, that will be added to and accessible by the same engine. Warfield, Owen, Charnock, Calvin, and a gazillion others.

I don't want to sound like a total nit, but how exactly is this relevant to me, a Logos userFree books for Logos.

Lots of free books.

Actually it's almost an obscene amount of free books.

I think just about anyone with Logos can READ pbb books, but can't create them without the creator license.

my word verification was busho-is that the time between the election and inauguration?

Which is pretty much what Dan said.

I have a few things from over there, but not as many as I should. Very nice new organization.

Any high end language resources you know of?

"...nice and need on the left...?"

What are you talking about? I don't see anything.

Well, that's nice.
The Libronix Digital Library System is a free download, but you can't use it to read anything without the "free" PBB reading key, which you can only get if you've purchased one of the Logos boxed sets....

Grrr...

I know my welcome is wearing thin, but suffer me this one last question.

So, how exactly do I then get started downloading?

I have logos. I take it that I have to download something off this site, and then I can start loading books?

Talk to me like I am eight.

Oh, by the way, thanks VC and Dan, you guys are the greatest. - Fred

http://www.logos.com/support/lbs/readingkey

Check here to see if you are eligible. Just input your customer id there (usually your email address) and you'll have it.

This, along with instructions on loading pbb's (I suggest the subdirectory method, especially if you use Logos on multiple computers...like I do) is contained in this page:

http://www.stilltruth.com/page/libronix_pbb_files

I would rewrite it here, but I figured it out from scratch a while back with the same or similar instructions, so I'm sure you can too.

This isn't related to PBB, but I'm considering a SSD drive just for Logos.

The passage guides take so long and searches take so long, etc etc.

Morris Proctor (the guy who teaches the classes) said that Logos 4 is going to a Google type search, but that was a year ago and nary a breath yet.

I was wondering if you happened to try Logos on a SSD, and if so did you notice improvements when doing things, especially building from the Reverse Interlinear or using other advanced tools for searching collections, etc?

By the way, you is Dan, or anyone who happens to have done this and can tell me whether I'm on the right track to make Logos faster.
