A realistic Lego commercial would show one embedded in the arch of my foot. I think God used Legos and Hot Wheels to sanctify my expletives.

How about an earth-mover piece held next to Obama since they are both good at driving the country into the ground.

Sorry... I'm just plain ornery today.

Great video! Wonder why it is that we--so many of us--find something particularly interesting about juxtaposing legos with real life?? Do we see a much more efficient, simplified, brighter, and interesting society in this?

Chris,

I'll attempt to answer your question. Most of us (proud owners of LEGOS, or parents of LEGO owners) find them, store them, keep them in a pile, a collection, a jumbled mess (See Cathy M.s comment). But we experience the fleeting joy that comes from seeing them put together into something spectacular, or even simple and fitting for the moment (cue video). I think it gives us a glimpse of hope, that something useful or beautiful can be made out of such a mess. Would that our real messes "fix up" so easily.

Merrilee,

Sounds like great reasoning to me. I can appreciate that! While I've never been to Legoland, I'm thinking they probably have this juxtapositioning in mind with everything they do throughout the park (and they may even speak to it directly in some of their literature--who knows?) BTW: if anyone at Legoland is reading, I wish you folks would lower your prices a wee bit!
