Voddie and Bridget Baucham's hearts must be singing

Check out this essay by their homeschooled daughter, Jasmine.

Does anything give a Christian parent greater joy than to see a child take the Word and the Gospel to heart, in faith and love?

As I started to read Jasmines essay I couldn’t help but hope that my kids would grow up to be like her. By the end I was hoping I could be like her when I grow up… and I’m in my fifties!

Hats off to her parents… nice job!

They didnt send her away to Rome, therefore she didn't return as a Roman.

See, this is what happens to homeschoolers. No socialization so they sit at home and read Marxists and evolutionists. :)

That's really great.

I can't help noting that she talks very much about the commitment of her parents - plural. Involvement and commitment of Dads seems to be a major factor, and not one that I hear or read a lot about. There are a lot of cliches about Homeschool Moms (TM), but not so much about Dads....

Yeah...if you are a homeschooling father and don't feel this burden, you aren't paying attention.

I love Voddie Baucham's stuff. "What he must be if he wants to marry my daughter" is going to be required reading for my five sons.

He's the best of the Vision Forum folks as far as I'm concerned.
