My 5-year old declared "I want tapping shoes!"
(Not to dance, just to make noise, I'm sure).
@Wendy, it all starts somewhere. My parents put me in a tap class when I was five or six and I discovered I could slide a long way in them if I got a running start.
Really, these guys had to have started when they were little boys. Their speed, flexibility and strength are amazing.
@Harpy, no matter how flexible they are, or how graceful, seeing men do the splits freaks me out.
Yeah, but Michael Jackson was, like, soooo much better.
@jmb, are you serious?
No. I was pretending to be one of the "kids" Dan was addressing.
I agree with Wendy--those splits just make me want to yell, "OUCH!!" (Especially toward the end of the clip when they "split" themselves down those steps....)
@jmb, Sorry, I take things too seriously. M.J. and Janet were two of their students. It's hard to know who invented the moon walk. I've watched videos of Cab Calloway moon walking that were recorded in the '30s.
Wow people being famous for having talent..seems like a alien concept now.
