Or how about this one:

Palin

(can you tell I'm a disenchanted Republican?)

:-). All of a sudden I feel a lot better about this election go-around.

Not to mention she's way better looking than Joe Biden.

I was just telling my hubby tonight that my interest in the political process has been sparked--I just MIGHT vote in this campaign. Not because there's a woman, but because she lends MORE than balance to the Republican ticket IMHO. Also, today has reminded me why I purposefully 'stepped back' from politics back in 1992--when 'papa' Bush lost to that Arkansas guy. I was a bit too wrapped up in politics in my younger days!

A Woman As Vice President Is Unbiblical and Anti-Family. Come on guys, do we really believe pragmatism is unbiblical, or do we just give mental assent and deny it with our actions?

To quote Voddie Baucham from his blog post on this:

""...Are we really saying that we want to completely erase the distinctions between men and women. Do we really believe that it is good for our country to promote the view that women are merely men who happen to be biologically capable of having children (when it does not interfere with career advancement, of course)? I don’t think so. What do we do with the Bible’s admonition in Titus chapter two? Are Christian conservatives saying that Paul’s instructions concerning women’s duty to be “keepers of their homes” has somehow been overturned in light of recent discoveries? Or are we saying that pro-family means one thing when we’re in church, but something else when we’re trying to beat the Democrats?

Let me be clear. I am not arguing that it is always wrong for a woman to be engaged in affairs outside the home...""

Strictly, it is "un-Biblical" for anyone to be President, if by that you mean the Bible never explicitly talks about it.

But for a woman to be a political leader? Not so much.

Otherwise, this is treated a bit more in the most recent post, "Some Palinian links and thoughts."

Dan,

How do you marry up that up with:
Titus 2:5 woman are "to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed."?

And Isaiah 3:12, teaches us that when a woman is in office, it's a judgement from God against that nation.

I'm not saying a woman can never have a little job outside of home, but to stretch it to it's okay to be vice-president of the United States whilst raising five children, is a little too far.

I know a lot bring out Deborah, but when the attempt is made to overrule clear teachings from the rest of Scripture, to get a doctrine from a historical account in Judges, one has to say people could also do that with Jephthah to say child sacrifice must be okay as God doesn't condemn Him.

Voddie Baucham also made some good points in his follow-up post on this:

"What pro-family values? Sarah Palin is a member of “Feminists for Life.” Since when is Feminism pro-family? Is not having an abortion all that is required to qualify as pro-family? Is that how far we have fallen? Are Evangelicals thinking on this one, or just following in lockstep behind their fearless Republican leaders?"

Puritan, there's some response to that in my more recent post.

Hey Dan!

Great graphic!

And, you'll be happy (or not) to know I've made a poster out of it and put it in the back window of my Civic Hatchback.

Pictures later...

Tim

That sounds pretty great. Looking forward to seeing them. (Of course, I only found the graphic, I didn't make it.)

Here ya go!

LOL, that's terrific. Bet you end up with some reactions.

None so far. My wife has one now too though. I'll let you know.

People around here are very bland so I don't expect much of a reaction.
