This is great! Once again, The Force trumps all. "Never underestimate the power of the Dark Side!"

I'm sad that Star Trek didn't win. But, Data cracking up was definitely hilarious.

Some darned clever splicing, wasn't it?

Though this is going to be a favorite for a long time. Amazing how perfect some of these editing jobs are.

This was so cool.

Wonder they'll create a trio with the older or newer version of Battlestar Galactica

Mid-prandial, I'd say.
We've got plenty o' left-overs.

Oh, and why leave it at a threesome, CR?

Why not also bring in Captain Quark and his intergalactic garbage scow?

Now that would be funny!

Aww... You stole my New Year's post...

Definitely a nice job. :)

Now you see, as a fan of the good Doctor, I was watching and waiting for the smug Trekkies to get what was coming to 'em :-D

Oooooh. Libbie. Them's fighting words, girlfriend.

In my single days, Capt. Picard was pretty much the perfect embodiment of brilliant, gracious, strong, masculine perfection.

Interestingly, my dear husband has all those same qualities in even greater degree, down to the brain so remarkable that hair follicles have quietly and humbly withdrawn to offer up more space for it.

Which is why I am quite confident that either of them could take down the 27th century version of an asthmatic Wizard of Oz wearing a polyester cape instead of hiding behind a curtain. Let alone a messy-haired Brit wearing a rumpled, multi-colored cricket uniform.

This is quite obviously part one of a two-part series.

:)

Well, technically, I've seen the Doctor defeat Picard on stage, but that was Hamlet, and he did die straight afterwards...

You forgot 'incredibly pompous' in your list of qualities, Rachel. : )
It always irritated me when he would go on and on about how enlightened they all were as opposed to us barbarians from the 20th century.

No one should ever watch the Ricky Gervais show Extras b/c of the naughty bits, but there was a funny episode w/ Patrick Stewart as himself. He kept telling people to 'make it so' and got annoyed when they didn't get the reference.

Mesa Mike: Oh, and why leave it at a threesome, CR?

You know, I wasn't a huge fan of DS9. Granted back then, it was one of the few scientific shows around before sci fi came back to becoming more popular.

Voyager was cool! Enterprise - eh...

Hearing Libble mentioning the "good Doctor" reminds me of Dr. Who. I know she wasn't talking about him. But it would be cool seeing, Star Wars, Star Trek (TNG and Voyager), BSG and Dr. Who (Tom Baker) get it on. But that's just me.

Ah, I was thinking of this show.
You do remember it, don't you?

Oh my gosh, MM, and I thought you were just promoting Quark from DS9 to Captain?

Your Quark looks like something that would be in Mystery Science Theater 3000.

The geek in me wants to point out that every technical comparison I've ever seen pegs even the weakest Star Wars ships as several orders of magnitude more powerful than any Enterprise, not to mention the fact that Star Wars takes place "a long time ago" (approximately 1789, actually), and so by the time they met, the Star Wars guys would be even more advanced. But the rest of me is busy laughing at Data.

Peren is exactly right - an analysis of the technical capabilities of the various universes shows that a battle between the Enterprise and a Star Destroyer would be over in about half a second. Considering that one shot from a light turbolaser packs as much punch as the Enterprise's entire torpedo payload, the Enterprise would be lucky to survive one shot.

Of course, if you're willing to suspend disbelief beyond suspended disbelief, it's a funny video, and amazingly well-done.
