Christmas... in Denmark?

A coworker's daughter needs to answer this for school: "What happens on Fridays during the weeks before Christmas in Denmark?"

Google didn't help me this time. Do you know?

I don't know if this is it or not.

"The streets and shops are elaborately decorated and on the Fridays leading up to Christmas, companies close early while their employees participate in Christmas lunches lasting well into the night."
"Danish people also has a great tradition for Christmas lunches - though they are often held in the evening! This "lunch" is usually hosted by the employer and celebrated with your colleagues at the workplace, but may also be a get together with friends and relatives. Most people go to at least a couple of Christmas lunches during December."
"Because of these Christmas lunches, Fridays in December are heavy party nights in the city, with all the bars packed."
(Not sure if you want to mention the last one)

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it involves large groups of people drinking heavily.

SKO, as it isn't a PhD dissertation, I bet that will be sufficient. Thanks!

It sounds like SKO might be right.

Not knowing much about danish Friday-night-before-Christmas customs, the "christmas lunch" still sounds a lot like what many people do here in Norway.
