Yay for them! While things are hopping for you I'll add something that I WUZ gonna just email to you: Super Bowl Sunday is going to be Super Dan Sunday on Bible Burgh! Mike liked your interview so much that he's reairing them all that night. Hope to do more in the future. :)
Congratulations to the "proud papa"!
Blessings all around
Congratulations to you, your wife and to the bride and groom!!! Have a wonderful couple of days of laughing, hugging, crying, kissing & celebration!!
I second all of this!
Congrats to you and the couple. Now I realize it's probably too late to change the service, but you might want to take a look at this just in case. A lot of weddings nowadays incorporate worship songs, and few of them are as spectacular as this masterpiece. So worshipful; so utterly.... relevant.
Congratulations and blessings to all!
OK, per trogdor's link, I have a serious question that may not come off as serious. I assure you it is.Is it wrong/sinful, that as I watch this video and think about what happens, I become more certain that if I were to meet this guy in person that I'd punch him in the face?
Well, it's... probably not productive.
Yeah... I guess that's so.But the feeling is weird, ya know? Like it's not like I'm angry at him (and others like him) for anything he's doing to me. I mean, barefoot 80's music fans don't pose any threat to me or my pride. So I'm thinking I must be angry for good reasons, right? If I'm desiring to do something sinful (which, reacting physically probably is), where does that come from? How do we go from being righteously repulsed by something to expressing that anger sinfully?I guess that's kinda like what you were talking about over at Pyro in reference to Spurgeon. Even our "righteous anger" is hopelessly laced with sin.And as I think about it, it makes Jesus look all the more glorious as He turns the tables over, because He did it without sin. I mean... Wow.
Hey Dan,I was thinking and praying for the Phillips family this morning thinking that today was the big day when I reread your post and saw that it was actually tomorrow. What a great way to spend the Lord's Day! Praying all goes smoothly - remember to have a hanky in one pocket and a checkbook in the other. :)
Please accept my congratulations and best wishes.
