Crushing Palin news

She's lost the immoral, unaccomplished, irresponsible, paint-shallow, spotlight-grabbing opportunist vote.

Major blow to any political hopes.

Of course, she's already lost the raised-pinkie, elitist vote.

Without those two rock-solid key constituencies, how can Palin hope to assemble a winning coalition?

How telling that an international news organization considers the opinions of that individual to be newsworthy!

Bet that really boosted their ratings!

You're absolutely right.

I think I've said this before, but by golly, I'm about to say it again.

How PATHETIC is it to wake up in the morning and say to yourself:

1. I'm famous
2. I'm famous for absolutely nothing that I have accomplished that was in any way admirable, noble, worthwhile, or exceptional
3. I'm famous because I had sex with someone I wasn't married to
4. I'm famous because the media hate my ex-piece-of-meat's mother and want to destroy her

...and (the kicker)...

5. I'm really OK with that!

Hard to picture anything much more pathetic.

19-year-old irresponsible males are not credible sources for anything.

What I don't get is why Todd doesn't track this punk down in a dark ally late at night...

Dan, your list of Pathetic Points(tm) is dead on target.

Well, now you've said it. I wrote, and then deleted:

I'm famous because the media hate my ex-piece-of-meat's mother — whose husband, in another place and time, would have tracked me down and beaten the corpuscles out of me — and want to destroy her

Correction: "alley" not "ally"

Clarification: I'm not advocating that Mr. Palin actually do violence to the young punk who knocked up his daughter. I'm just saying that I would have a hard time resisting the impulse to "issue a correction" to the boy.

Brings a couple of Proverbs to mind:

"Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool, and so is wisdom to a man of understanding." (Prov. 10:23)

"Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge." (14:7)

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion." (18:2)

Here's one for CNN: "Like an archer who wounds everyone, so is he who hires a fool or who hires those who pass by." (26:10)

Amazing, Providential word verification! fulscure!!!

Passed time for that little punk to shut up.

I'm about ready to drive to Alaska myself.

Ditto, Squirrel.

Yeah, I'm thinking that boy isn't big with fathers who are worth much. Particularly fathers of daughters.

Not that Palin's daughter is much to crow about. She has needs a high-potency, long-acting dose of Shoosh!.

Since only about 22% of citizens age 18-24 actually do vote, isn't this all rather speculative anyway? She's lost his possible-but-probably-not-since-I'll-be-real-busy-that-weekend vote.

Dan,

Regarding the small pic accompanying the post, is that you in your less well-groomed days?

With newspaper coverage like this, who needs a reality show??

Last five words stand alone fine, MMike.

It amazes me that news sites quote people whose veracity is so far removed from reality that none of us would ever take them seriously in the first place (or second, or third or . . .)!

You noticed SP's response -

"It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills,"

Levi Johnston is not voting for Palin? Uh, why do they think we care?

OH! It was CNN reporting. Nevermind.

CNN Editor: (mouth foaming with classic Palin-derangement syndrome symptoms) Got anything else on Palin?

CNN Journalist: (eyes red from lack of sleep; brain mush from lack of logic or reason) We never had anything to begin with.

CNN Editor: (eyes aflame) Just answer the question!

CNN Journalist: (blinks slowly at notepad) Uh...um...ah...her daughter's ex-boyfriend person isn't going to vote for her.

CNN Editor: BRILLIANT!! (falls on floor, writhing in derangement fits) FRONT PAGE! FRONT PAGE! AHHHHAHAHA!!!!!!

The above is an actual transcript.

...not. But it could be!

This whole thing is just so typical of what I see all the time. I expect the father of an unplanned teen pregnancy to ultimately bail. And when they do, it's like a scorched earth exit or they simply vanish. So instead of limiting his interaction with the family and keeping him in line with court appearances over child support, SP and TP allowed him to reside with them.

I realize this is a tough position for a parent and I truly sympathize, but SP and TP should have planned for this probable situation.

The stupid part is that she's not even running for anything now, so of course she can't have his vote. I mean, seriously, come on.

Sarah: "I'm not running for reelection."
Levi: "Oh, well then I'm not voting for you."

Yeah, that'll show her. You do that, Levi.

DJP said...

One does gather the impression that Levi ain't necessarily the whackin'est weed-whacker in the tool shed.

No. Leading to Phillips' Truism:

The irony of this quote is rich:

Obsessive banned stalkertroll OSO asked me to tell you that he read this story to his mother while she was in the basement doing the laundry. He said she murmured something that sounded like "can't completely blame parents for how their kids turn out."

He wonders if we can explain what she meant.

"Asked me to tell you" in my July 15, 2009 4:22:00 PM PDT comment was coded to link to THIS, as usual. Don't know what happened.

That OSO is really a persistent gfp, isn't he?

"Obsessive banned stalkertroll" I start smiling every time I see these words leading off a comment. I just know something...unique is in the offing.

And ain't necessarily the whackin'est weed-whacker in the tool shed is destined for the DJP quotes hall-of-fame!
