Peanuts and the DSS

Hunh. I don't remember this one.

Don't make strips like that anymore.

I love it! We saw a portion of the Dead Sea Scrolls this summer at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. It was a wonderful display for lovers of the Word, regardless of the politically correct focus on the shared roots of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Afterward, my sister and her husband treated us to a buffet at a Middle Eastern place called Jerusalem Restaurant. It seemed fitting--and was delicious!

oh, wow! So that's why I so often feel like Charlie Brown...

Sheer class, Dan.

Kind of sad, too. Charles Schulz was at one time part of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), the same denomination of the Gaithers and Sandy Patty. In his latter years, Mr. Schulz apparently walked away from his faith and became more of a "secular humanist" by his own description. If this is the case, I pray that he repented before he died.

Funny, my son just showed this to me earlier; he is a faithful follower of the Peanuts cartoon online. Who knew Linus was a scribe?

I remember seeing this one a long time ago. My life is much like Charlie Brown in that I would just have a red fire truck for show and tell and I often would get a rock when I went trick or treating.

Cute.

I also saw a display of the Dead Sea Scrolls in Washington, DC a couple of years ago. They had a special display of Bibles from 0 -1 1000 A.D.

I had to check my paper to see if this was real or photoshopped. Glad to see it's real. Haha!
