that was great. As one of my teachers likes to say, singing is glorified speech and the undoing of Babel. That is why the throne room is filled with the singing Church.

Loved it.
I used to work near the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica (where the first guy was playing), and for every loony tune, there was also someone who could really, really sing or play. They used to make a pretty decent living at it too.
Oh, and Al, that thought is great. Is that original to your teacher, or was s/he quoting it?
