Monday music: How low can you go?

Reader Kurt Kroeker Tweeted this one to me. I was initially put off by the low quality of the video and sound... but whoa, hang in there. It's worth it.

I can sing that, too--but it will sound 2 octaves higher. :D (Seriously, though--at first I thought that a friend of mine could possibly sing that low, but then the song progressed and the man got down on one knee. I don't think so anymore!)

I think they sound a lot like the Statler Brothers. Interesting.

I'd love to hear him when he has a cold. That usually sends me about 5 more steps down the scale.

On a related note, do you know how hard it is to find a true bass these days? I think it says something about the decline of masculinity in our society.

Hmmm...well, it doesn't seem that the number of good tenors has proportionally risen though.

Of course, it may be manly to hit the high notes. In that case, there should be a lack of both.

I wouldn't have believed it was possible for the human voice to go that low.

Wow...

I think he'd make a great movie voice-over guy.

I figured he was done a couple of times...but no, still lower.

Loved it.

Me too, Daryl. You think that's it, then you look at the bar and think "Wait -- two minutes left to go? Huh?"
