Book announcement

Many read Pyro and don't come here; I don't know whether any read here and don't go to Pyro.

But in case some do... or, er, don't, or whatever I mean.... there is an announcement about my book today, over at Pyro.

(I had trouble with your link to Pyro. But since they're #2 on my "Most Visited" list, I easily found my way there to read the announcement. Just thought you'd like to iron out any wrinkles in your links.)

(I, too, over-use the parenthetical, by the way.)

(Fixed.)

The WORST AUTHOR IN PRINT in that regard is none other than Jay Adams. Great man in many ways, has served the church well — but oh, dear, what a study in the need for a good editor. He can have two and three parenthetical remarks — in the same sentence!

The funny thing is I said something about that over at Pyro once, and the editor of Adams' magazine saw it and invited me to submit a book review to them for publication. Which I did and they did. Said he showed my remarks to Adams.

No idea what came of it.

Wow! What a roller coaster! So glad that it all worked out!

Note: no parentheses, but a definite overuse of exclamation marks!!!

Dan,

What wonderful news!

Help me, though, because I didn't read through the 200+ comments from May 2009. What is the topic of this book? Or is that still secret?

This is a banner Dan-year. A grandbaby and two book babies!

May God bless them all.

Julie

Working title is The World-Tilting Gospel. It is an unfolding of the Gospel in the context of a whole-Bible worldview, showing the impact it has on our lives.

My husband had a college professor refer to his writing as though he just took a handful of commas and threw them at the page. I on the other hand have been told I'm too wordy (by my own Dad). Unfortunately that's not the case lately on my blog. (sigh) But I have every intention of getting back in the habit...
