"Hallelujah Chorus" flash mob from Simpson College

Thanks to m'man Chris Brauns for that.

The sound quality isn't the best, but actually it adds to the experience, I think. But I did have a rueful chuckle at how, after this glorious and un-erasably Christ-exalting marvel of a song, they conclude with a gutless "Happy Holidays"!

Still, my favorite "flash mob" version stands as this one from last year.

Terrific concept, glad it's still being done.

Okay. I willingly admit I'm a sap. Big, wet tears rolling off my cheeks. I'm beginning to think that Handel's Messiah SHOULD be sung in shopping malls more than in some packed church building. Bring it to the people who need to hear the gospel!

Agreed, Merrilee. Though this one was a little cheesier than most for their coordinated clothes and standing in neater rows, and still somehow phasing on the tempo it seemed. I think a group of church choirs from my college town attempted to band together last year to do this, but were turned down by the management at the "good" mall in town, and settled on completely packing out the smaller, dying mall.
