This is extremely unusual and surprising since she exhibited in clear no uncertain terms that she was not interested in elected political office.

You can't lose your race man. Ask Obama, he can't disown is Pastor any more than he can disown his "typical white" grandma.

Really do you think anyone with the last name Cain is able? (It never gets old)

When history is written, will it include this presidential cycle? I mean, who would believe it?

Because McCain's problems aren't with the left or middle. It's the Right (the base of the GOP) that doesn't trust him, and for good reason. Rice has said she's (some-modifier) pro-choice. That alone -- and there are other considerations -- would further harm McCain's already-shaky support in his own party.

He needs to pick a running-mate with SOLID conservative cred.
