HT: weekend supplementito

(A little Spanish lingo, there.)

Hey, it's my blog. I can do what I want with it.

So here's a mini-supplement to yesterday's action-packed Hither and Thither.

Just don't blame me if next Friday's short, or expect it every week! Because then there would be tears, and recriminations — and thrown poultry.
  • Say, speaking of poultry:

  • Legal immigrant Mark Steyn does that wonderful thing with his brain, on the subject of illegal immigration and the complete lack of perspective among liberals.
  • Reader Julie Garrett found a vivid depiction of what it amounts to when President Obama says he's going to try to take $100 million out of the federal budget.
  • Our pastor-friend across the Pond, Gary Benfold, shows us how to get dropped faster than a hot potato from Britain's Conservative Party.
  • We finish from Sacred Sandwich yet again, with the great news that Rick Warren has been chosen to replace Billy Mays as the OxiClean pitch man. What sold the movers and shakers? It was when "pitched Jesus" on Hannity & Colmes, urging people to try Him for 60 days. Awesome!
  • This time, I'll leave you movin'-movin.'

Woo hoo! I'm first! Um, now, what was I going to say?

Being an employee of an electric utility, I love the jump rope animation. Will be sharing that with work colleagues fo' sho'. And the weightless hound is priceless.

Thanks for giving me a reason to waste a few more minutes of my Saturday morning, Dan.

Oh man, I'm NOT first. Crushed. Humiliated. Beaten by a Squirrel. Pouting the rest of the day.

Well, this is a treat, a supplemental H&T. Great idea. Kinda like '24' every once in a while having a two hour episode.

But, this will not be an excuse for you to reduce your regular H&T, sorry, Dan, not allowed.

The response to AZ's new immigration has been nothing less than insane. Normal electorate voters taking their cue from state-run media that AZ law enforcement will be asking for people's "papers." (Insinuation that the new law is Nazi-like).

People are also claiming that the new law is racial profiling and violates the 14th amendment. I've actually been seriously warned by liberals that I better watch out if I ever go to AZ and make sure I carry my "papers", passports, etc.

Newsflash: AZ along with 42 other states in the union carry's a presumption that you are legal resident if you have a drivers license. Because in these states you have to be a legal resident to get a driver's license.

The new AZ law also provides for NO new basis for stopping and detaining people. You can't stop people because of their race and say, "Papers, please."

Dan, you're too cruel. Do you know (of course you don't but now you will) how hard you made me laugh with that high-voltage jump rope sequence this morning?? I laughed so hard, tears just started coming out. And then I showed my mother...ayeayeaye....

An extra H&T?
It can only mean one thing.
DJP needs an excuse to double our dues for belonging to this club...

CR:

I've read and listened to different analysis of the bill as to how it might affect the upcoming November elections. Some conservatives view this as bad timing since we were making inroads with hispanic voting blocs. Now the Dems can slam through immigration reform and look like heros. IT will be interesting to see how this develops.

Illegal immigration. Illegal immigration. We're against illegal immigration. Because, it's illegal. And if we don't do something, someone who does illegal things in their on country can come here and do illegal things if we don't have a system to deal with illegal miscreants. Has anyone seen the things happening in Mexico? Like, police officers getting bush-whacked on duty? Is that the sort of person we want waltzing across the border?

Have mercy.
