Monday music - The Cars' "Just What I Needed", covered by Punch Brothers

Sorry about the commercial, and it takes too long to get to the actual song (about 1:19)... but it's pretty much worth the wait.

That was great! Better than the original, I do believe. What a fun way to start the Monday. I might have to listen to those Punch Brothers some more! Our 9-year-old mandolin player likes Chris Thile almost as much as me; especially because he is so animated. They look like they are having such fun.

Thanks, Merrilee.

I should say that, to some, the lyrics might be objectionable. To me, they're just incomprehensible. I think Ocasek just mainly picked words that rhymed, as modern writers often do.

I see what you mean. Yeah. We'll just have to plug our noses as we listen. ;0)

Words? What words? I just hear the music and I'm taken back to my college days and my first car and driving around in the summer :D

Fun!

Nice to see Chris Thile from Nickel Creek again I really enjoyed his work in that group and its nice to see him bringing that same enthusiasm to this group too.
